For several months, Peak Properties and Triumph Development have been working on the details of a joint venture to bring Peak into the Triumph family of companies. As of July 8, 2011, we are excited to announce that the joint venture is in place and Peak Properties has become Triumph Mountain Properties!

Triumph Development, in conjunction with our sister company Ascent-Sotheby’s International Realty, is a full-service real estate company in the Vail Valley including development, architectural design, construction management, brokerage, and commercial property management. With the addition of the Peak Properties team, we are excited to add residential property management and vacation rentals to our scope of expertise.

As an organization, Triumph is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to our real estate customers and homeowners throughout the Valley. We are a company built on strong, lasting relationships with our customers and partners, and aim to be your trusted real estate advisors when it comes to Colorado Mountain real estate, regardless of your needs. We believe Peak Properties’ dedication to excellence, its commitment to customer service, and its niche in the property management business make it a perfect fit in the Triumph family.

Recognizing the strong relationship that clients have with Mike Connolly and Mary Ferero, they will continue to run and manage the business. Along with the rest of the staff clients of Peak have come to know, Triumph Mountain Properties will continue to look after the needs of Vail Valley property owners and vacation renters.

In the months following the transition, we plan to invest in upgrading our current technology platform to simplify and streamline logistics. We also plan to improve and target our marketing efforts to best reach today’s online customer. And we plan to draw on the resources of the Triumph family of companies – architectural design, renovation design, construction management, brokerage or even redevelopment – to enhance the experiences our clients have here in the valley.

If you would like more information about the Triumph family of companies, please visit www.triumphdev.com. The contact telephone numbers for Triumph Mountain Properties remain the same as Peak’s – office is 970.479.9990, fax is 970.479.0619, toll free is 866.SKI.VAIL (754.8245). Mike Connolly can be reached via email on mikec@triumphmountainproperties.com, Mary Ferero on mary@triumphmountainproperties.com, and Triumph’s Chief Operating Officer Michael O’Connor can be reached on michael@triumphdev.com.
We look forward to seeing you here in Vail and Beaver Creek soon!

IF you have been riding Vail for any period of time, you probably have developed a LOVE/HATE relationship with the Sun Up/Down Bowls on a powder day (LOVE the untouched knee deep freshies with great steeps on the way down and HATE the 30 to 45 minute wait for the blasted fixed triple chair. Well you can now enjoy a more pure, LOVE/LOVE relationship with these two monster pieces of terrain – check out this video of the work done to install the new high speed quad replacement coming out of Sun Down Bowl. (The fast-forwarded helicopter shots are worth the view alone) I don’t know about you, but I’m itching to get out there and make some laps!!!

When your legs are spent from carving up Vail’s legendary pow, you’ll be glad to find an exponentially shorter lift line at the bottom (and bit quicker to the top so you can duck into Buffalo’s and refuel for more turns!!!)

For the fifth straight year Peak Properties is excited to be a supporter of the Vail Mountain School Home Tour. This year’s tour, the 39th annual, is on Sunday, September 19 from 10AM until 4PM and is once again in Vail.

The home tour event raises money for tuition assistance at Vail Mountain School. Over 33% of the 350+ students at VMS receive some form of financial assistance through the school’s own fund. The home tour is one of the chief fundraising events each year to replenish this fund which allows the school to diversify its student population by providing assistance to families who might not otherwise be able to send their children to VMS.

This year, the properties on the tour include two condos in the new Solaris complex (on the site of the old Crossroads center), two homes along Beaver Dam Road (including 254 Beaver Dam Road which Peak is proud to manage), one at the bottom of Beaver Dam Circle, an incredibly unique home at 424 Forest Road, and a Penthouse condominium at the new Ritz Carlton Residences in Lionshead.

Lunch will be at Vail Mountain School and is once again being prepared by the incomparable staff of Larkspur Restaurant. The school will also be the site of the Gourmet Pantry and a limited trade show for home tour magazine advertisers. The Gourmet Pantry is an amazing collection of food items made fresh by VMS families available for sale to guests on the tour.

Peak Properties co-owner, Mike Connolly, is the chairman of this year’s tour and has been making the rounds on local television of late to promote the tour (Vail TV 8 and Plum TV).

To complement this year’s tour, Peak is running a special offer of 30-40% off select rental properties for stays including the day of the home tour, along with a pair of complimentary tickets to the tour itself.

If you plan on being in Vail over the weekend of September 19th we hope you will come out to take the tour of these great homes and to support the financial aid program at Vail Mountain School.

Demanding luxury

At Peak Properties Vail, where vacation home rentals range from $1,200 to more than $4,000 per night, luxury already abounds. The homes, many of which have earned the highest lodging quality rating from the Vail Valley Partnership, come with more than soaring ceilings and cozy stone fireplaces.

Peak Properties concierge Jessica Kober says people who pay a premium for lodging expect a certain level of service, and that means having her as their 24/7 personal assistant.

In less than a year in the position, Kober has fielded eight-page grocery lists, left cigars waiting for guests’ arrivals and handled a 3 a.m. phone call about an overflowing toilet. Kober won’t divulge some of her more odd requests, but her attitude seems to be as long as it’s legal, it’s fair game.

“I think that people really want to be pampered on vacation,” she says. “They want to feel like they are the most important client, the most important person to the entire staff.”
